How do I make a booking ?

Please e-mail via the ‘ Contact Us ‘ page or phone 01206  243318 with details of the date, venue and approximate time of your event. We ask for a deposit of £180 to be paid which secures the date for you and the final balance is then due one month before your event.

Does the quartet have Public Liability Insurance?


When do you need to know any music choices?

Please let us know any music choices from our Playlists on this website  one month before your event. If you would like us to arrange a piece of music which is not on our lists, please let us know 8 weeks before.

How long does the quartet usually play for?

We play for any length of time to suit your event. For civil weddings, 2.5 or 3 hours seems very popular, as it covers a ceremony and drinks reception nicely, please feel free to ask for more information, as every function is different.

What does the quartet need at the venue and can you play outdoors and move venues?

We only need four armless chairs.  We certainly play outside, weather permitting! However, direct sunlight and rain can cause problems for our instruments, but as long as there is a shady corner, it’s fine!   Moving between venues is perfectly possible and we are very used to doing this.

What time will the quartet arrive at the venue?

We usually arrive about 30 – 40 minutes early to give us time to liaise with the venue regarding where we should sit etc. and also to chat to the photographer or videographer in case they have some specific shots in mind.

Will the quartet need to have a break?

Yes, we usually take a 10/15 minute break during a 2 or 3 hour engagement. We always liaise with the venue and try to arrange our breaks at an opportunity which suits  the proceedings.

What do the quartet wear?

Our usual dress code is black. Please ask if you would like something different.

Can you arrange our favourite song/piece?

Yes, we can arrange anything for you, but ‘Rap’ doesn’t really work for a string quartet ! A small fee is sometimes required for this service.

What happens if a player from the quartet is unable to play on the day?

In the event of illness or unforeseen circumstances, a deputy musician of equal standard will be engaged. We only use players that we know personally and who are familiar with our music.

Do you sub-contract bookings ?

No. As we are not run through an agency,  we never sub-contract our bookings out to another quartet. All the organisation is dealt with by ourselves and our music is all our own work. This ensures that we always offer the highest  quality music to our clients.

How far do you travel?
There is no limit on distance, but long distances will be taken into consideration when agreeing a fee.
